When designing for the new light rail several amenities and parameters:
- Bike Racks
- Toilets
- Seating
- Information and Timetable
- Shading and Protection from the weather
- Food/ drinks services
- Achieving a state of rest and comfort while waiting for transport
- Rubbish Bins
- Well lit
This has been achieved by including bike racks, a toilet area, a large roof for the Light Rail Stop, rubbish bins and vending machines to accommodate a quick stop and interchange style of transport.
The Rail Stop itself was to present an easily identified landmark of which I was trying to imitate some natural forms presented in the context of the park and trees, minimizing my impact on the park itself due to the areas lack of greenery and nature, including the ANZAC memorial as to keep its original placement in order to honor the soldiers
